Reiki for Anxiety
Reiki helps Anxiety, stress, and depression within a 6-week treatment period according to research carried out.
In my experience working with Reiki, clients have reported feeling less anxious or stressed not only during a session but for a significant time after the session. Clients have also said that regular treatments have helped to maintain a lower stress level and improved mood. Reiki works on many different levels, and clients usually enjoy feeling a deep state of relaxation during the treatment.
Scientific research supports the effectiveness of Reiki in relieving symptoms of Anxiety, Depression and Stress.
There has been enough significant research to start to understand from a scientific point of view the areas where Reiki can be proven effective. One of the primary areas of research where Reiki is found to be incredibly effective depression and stress. Research in both animal studies and with human patients showed significant improvements. In an animal study Reiki treatments made clear improvements in reducing stress indicated by measuring autonomic systems such as the heart rate and cellular signs of stress-related damage.
Shore (2004) followed patients undergoing treatment for mild depression and stress. After six weeks of treatment and up to a year afterwards, those who received Reiki showed immediate and long-term improvements in depression, stress and hopelessness.
