Are you searching the internet to find out which Reiki attunement or course is right for you? In this post, I will go over the different delivery options and the potential benefits and drawbacks of the different ways the course is delivered, online, 1-2-1 and group courses. Recently the most popular is online Reiki, so let’s start there.
Distant Reiki Attunements
Distant Reiki Attunements work just as well as in-person attunements. Reiki is not bound by time and space, so distance is not an issue. Have given and received both. Many people prefer online courses now instead of group learning, so if that is how you would like to learn Reiki, then a distant attunement is perfect for you.
The other bonus is that Reiki courses and attunements are slightly more cost-effective online and delivered distantly as the Reiki Master is not having to hire a venue, so savings can be made.
Check out the Reiki Master you are considering to do your attunement beforehand, research, and find out what support is offered to you.
1-2-1 Reiki Course
A 1-2-1 Reiki training course has its benefits, but there is a drawbacks you need to be aware of. When you are working solely with a Reiki teacher, you don’t get the opportunity to work on other people (unless you bring in a volunteer), and you don’t get to experience a variety of people working on you.
However, there are clear benefits to a 1-2-1 course. For a start, you will have the complete attention of your teacher throughout the course. For those of you who feel inhibited working or learning in a group, you may get more out of a 1-2-1 course where you feel freer to ask questions and make mistakes.
Another benefit of a 1-2-1 delivery style is that the course can go at your pace, ensuring you don’t miss anything. Often dates can be set up which are mutually beneficial, rather than waiting for the next course date. There is flexibility in location as teachers can come to you, so you don’t have to travel if you prefer this. If a room doesn’t have to be hired for the event, then a 1-2-1 will not be as expensive as you may think.
Group Reiki Courses
Apart from doing my Master’s course, when I received my attunements for Reiki and Seichem 1 & 2, they were in small or medium size groups of 3- 8 people.
Learning in a group has a combined effect, where questions, thoughts and ideas will arise through working with others who are maybe doing Reiki for different reasons or at varying levels of understanding than you.
The opportunity to practice with different people during the day will help build confidence with the experience you gain. As well as practising on other people, you will also be able to experience what it feels like to receive Reiki energy and compare the difference in Reiki energy from person to person. Every course has been a positive experience for me, which spurred me on in the early days when I was frustrated or had times when I doubted my ability to give Reiki.
