Yoga has been found to give benefits to people who have ulcerative colitis. The study identified perceived stress as a risk factor for ulcerative colitis. A clinical trial was carried out on 39 patients who were given written self-care advice. The first group were also given supervised yoga sessions with the self-care advice.
Personally, I love Yoga I always feel relaxed and calm after a session and the physical benefits of especially for my back are priceless! This group reported a significantly greater increase in quality of life and reduced activity of colitis than those who only received the written self-care advice.
